About the event
Due to the tremendously successful return of our Chicken BBQ event last summer, we came up with a great idea. LET’S DO IT AGAIN!!
This year’s event will be on Saturday, July 6 at Sherman’s. CAC is again graciously providing the hall at no cost. Union Hall will return to cater the meal and Stump City Brewery will have beverages available. A CAC representative will be the speaker and we have booked a well-recommended acoustic duo for entertainment throughout.
Be on the lookout for more information on carousel rides, adult and childrens menu, reservation procedures, ice cream, etc. by email, facebook, the website, and the spring newsletter.
Cost will be determined later, but as always members receive one half-priced meal as a thank you for your paid dues. We hope to see you there!
A Call for Basket Donations
We are calling on all members to consider sponsoring a basket of goodies of your choice to our 2nd Annual basket raffle to be held in conjunction with the chicken BBQ. Last year we had 15 baskets donated with almost as many themes, and the raffle was a huge success and fun for all. We will notify all about donating as we get closer to the event. We also hope to have a WCLA raffle item again this year, similar to the topographic map we raffled off last year. If you have any ideas, let us know, or we might just do another map. Many people were hoping to win that one last year.
