WCLA proudly sponsors a boating safety course led by our board president, Don Hopper, and board member, Debbie Drain, certified instructors. This allows us to offer the course at no cost to you.

The class will be held at the Caroga Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The class is from 8 am to 4pm. The Boaters Safety Course is an 8-hour program that introduces the basic principles of safe and responsible boating. Upon completion, students will earn a safe boating certificate. Please note that all registrants for this event must be 10 years of age by July 12, 2025. For those 18 or older, a $10.00 fee for your permanent boating safety certificate is payable online. As of January 1, 2025, a significant regulation change has come into effect. All boaters, regardless of age, must have a boating safety certificate.…
