About the event
The Boater's Safety Course is an 8-hour course that introduces the basic principles of safe and responsible boating. Students completing this course earn a safe boating certificate. Members of the West Caroga Lake Association teach this class. All registrants for this event must be 10 years of age by July 15, 2023. The Class is from 8 am to 4 pm at the Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Please enter at the rear of the building. Snacks and water will be provided. You will have a break for lunch (lunch will not be provided.) Also, please bring a pen. There is no charge for the class. For those 18 or older, a $10.00 fee for your permanent boating safety certificate is payable to New York State Parks. Pre-registration is required.
